Bridge Church has been working in communities for over 15 years running many activities and projects that help and benefit local residents. We run a foodbank, clothing bank, library, charity shop, wellbeing cafes, activities for children and young people, art sessions, cooking sessions, and lots of other projects throughout the week. We have also helped to pioneer a network called Transform Lincoln with the many churches across the city with the understanding that when we work together, we can achieve so much more!
This network has birthed a number of new initiatives such as the Night Light Crisis Cafes, projects to help refugees settle into the city, two full time community connector roles, and other projects that aim to provide aid and support for Lincoln Residents.
With the funding from the Community Renewal Fund, we are looking to launch after school clubs and creative art sessions for young people, providing a safe space for them to explore new skills, build confidence, and connect with others. Another project launched will be using our church network to build new connections within communities between the faith sector and other organisations, creating an online presence where people can find out all the support and help they can engage with in their local areas. Finally, we will be using some of this funding to do some local outreach work in Park Ward, helping people who have been struggling with isolation to connect to all the great opportunities that the CRF funding is able to offer. As a Church and a local charity, we believe that people matter to God and therefore people matter to us, so we will do everything we can to support, care, walk alongside those in our neighbourhoods and in our city.
