YMCA Lincolnshire

YMCA Lincolnshire aims to have a positive impact through our work on the 
Mind, Body and Spirit of our participants and beneficiaries.  We aim to fill gaps in provision and to work with those who need our services the most. We strive to be the Voice for Young People and to play a role through our Community Development service to combat loneliness and isolation. We are also a registered housing provider, with 170 rooms of emergency and supported accommodation in Lincoln.

As part of Working and Connecting Communities we are offering 5 strands of support. A pilot enterprise skills programme for young people and a new youth club offer in Sincil Bank. We’ll build on our work on the national Ageing Better programme by providing an employability skills programme for those over 50 and an accreditation programme for businesses in the city to attain Age Friendly status.

Finally, we recognise that there are a large number of small voluntary groups that struggle to find the funds to pay for regular meeting space.  As we seek to combat loneliness and isolation we will make space available at our flagship Showroom facility on Tritton Road for these groups from Lincoln.
