Green Synergy

We are a Lincoln based charity that uses community and therapeutic gardening to help people socialize, learn, grow, and thrive.

We are delighted to be a delivery partner in the CRF funded project. Our experienced trainers will be offering two City and Guilds qualifications as part of this programme.

Which Courses are we offering?

City & Guilds 0070 Level 2 Certificate in Work-based Environmental Conservation

City and Guilds (0078-02) Level 2 Certificate and Diploma in Horticulture

Where will the training take place?

Your training will be delivered primarily on Hillside Community Garden which is situated behind Lincoln County Hospital. Hillside is a 2.5-acre site with areas for growing fruit and vegetables, children’s garden, therapeutic garden and a 40- foot polytunnel.

There is a portaloo on site and a ramp will enable access by wheelchair users.

Do I need to have any other qualifications to Apply?

There are no formal pre-qualification requirements but ideally you will have at least a Level 2 qualification or equivalent in English and maths.

Do I need any specific equipment to attend?

You will need waterproofs and good boots to attend the course. If you do not have these, we will be able to supply them for you once you are signed up. We will also be able to reimburse reasonable travel costs and offer hot drinks

I feel I might need Some Support with the Course – how can you help?

Before you commit to the course, we will discuss any additional support needs you may have and make any reasonable adjustments. We offer a friendly and supportive environment and pride ourselves in working with a diverse group of people.

What does this qualification cover?

This qualification covers a very wide range of areas related to the skills and knowledge required for working in the Environmental Conservation industry. Paul Rodgers and Ana Oliveira have wide experience in horticulture and Environmental Conservation. Both are experienced trainers and skilled in helping people achieve their goals and providing a safe, lively learning environment.
